Serra relishes underdog role

Canadian Georges St. Pierre has been one of the fan favorites wherever he fights in the U.S.
So expect him to have overwhelming support when the UFC makes its Canadian debut at UFC 83 on Saturday night at 7 at Centre Bell in Montreal, Canada.
St. Pierre will be facing Matt Serra for the UFC welterweight title in the main event. Serra scored one of the most stunning upsets of 2007 when he stopped St. Pierre in the first round of their fight at UFC 69 to capture the UFC 170-pound title.
“I don’t expect to get cheered walking out,” Serra said. “It’s not a problem. I think I’m finally going to feel what (former UFC heavyweight champion) Tim Sylvia feels when he fights anywhere. I have my trainers and sparring partners boo me on a regular basis, so I’m getting ready mentally for it.”
