I thought thought the article did a nice job of pointing out how a second tier promotion such as Strikeforce was drawing just fine.

The main problem with the most recent Pacman fight and also with the Pavlik fight was that they were fighting huge underdogs that were relatively unknown... next to no-one who follows boxing actually thought Diaz was going to beat Manny or that Lockett even stood a chance to go more than 3-4 rounds with Pavlik. But overall Boxing is so lame I think that both of these fights were 'mandatory' title defenses from one of the alphabet soup organizations in order for them to keep thier titles.

I agree. It was a good article and your points about boxing are very true. I saw the Pavlik-Lockett fight. It was ridiculously one-sided...
