Classic. It's usually the non-fight-related comments that are the most quoteworthy or give the most insight into a fighter's mind.
From all the interviews I've seen Arlovski do since he left the UFC, it's clear he's hedging his bets and making sure he doesn't get on Dana White's bad side. Same thing with Tim Sylvia.
They're being smart. Get the big money when you can but don't kill the real goose in the process...

Exactly. I know everyone, including me, were expecting some bad mouthing and stories about the UFC's dealings after these guys left ala Couture/Ortiz. I'm glad these guys are being classy and keeping their mouths shut. I'd love to see Arlovski back in the octagon.
Sylvia for one has nothing to complain about he was payed very well and always in the hunt for the title. Dana seemed more than fair to him and his departure came at the perfect time as he had exhausted his title opportunities but he left after competing in one of his most exciting performances that he had put on in awhile. If he beats Fedor it's a win-win for him and The UFC if he decides to go back. He will have the distinction of being the only man to defeat Pay-Fed other than the loss he suffered to due to a stoppage.
Arlovski on the other hand was put on the sidelines for 10 months and then they matched him up with a boring ass fighter in Jake O'Brien, which I believe was done to make him look bad. I think the UFC was hoping his performance would be hindered by O'Brien's boring style and would weaken his negotiating power but he fought a good fight and signed a deal with Affliction. He has never said a bad word about the UFC either so I am sure the door is always open as long as he continues to win.
