Phoenix she fights in the WCL so although she doesn't go to the ground its still mixed martial arts. From what Brat and I have read She is versed in Thai as well as kick boxing, boxing, and Karate. That is one of the things I find most amusing about some people (not talking about you phoenix) when they hear MMA they think UFC and it stops there. MMA=mixed martial arts as in more than one lol

yeah. i also heard him saying ground fighting was boring and fans didn't like it and all we want to see is knockouts. he's wrong!!! wrong!!!! i like knockouts, but it's also exciting to see a striker scared to be taken down, when that threat isn't there it just takes something away imo. and besides, i haven't seen the WCL on tv in a long time. when was their last show?
another question, why are they wearing track pants? and are they rip off pants, like stripper pants??

A ground fight is boring if he just lays there and 'controls' the guy just the same that a 'technical' striker jabbing his way to victory in a decision is boring too. BJ Penn is not boring, neither is Big Nog... I dont think I have ever been bored watching one of thier fights and every one of thier fights goes to the ground at some point. Tim Silvia is known for his striking and has at times been one of the most boring fighters. It's all about the action and risks taken by both fighters. Chuck Norris is wrong - I take back all those things I posted about him over at CBS!!!!

the nate diaz pelligrino fight weds was a good ground fight...that was so fun to watch. i like submissions a lot too, and taking that away takes out the fun for me.
