Report: Binky Jones to fight on May 31 EliteXC card on CBS
Ground Control Baltimore's Web site is reporting that EliteXC has contacted Baltimore lightweight Binky Jones about fighting on the May 31 debut card on CBS.
When contacted by FightTicker.com, John Rallo, co-owner of Ground Control, stated that Jones' camp is still looking for an opponent. Inquiries about a Jones bout placed with EliteXC have thusfar not been answered.
EliteXC recently announced the televised portion of the May 31 card, so it would make sense that Jones' fight would be a non-televised bout.
Jones broke out in 2007 by becoming the Ring of Combat lightweight tournament champion. He then lost two bouts with BodogFight to end the year.
However, Jones has come out strong in 2008, winning in a ShoXC event in January and at a Ring of Combat event in March. Both victories came by way of quick submissions.

Baltimore lightweight fighter with some very good submission skills. More of a local story but a name you should keep in mind. I've been following him since he was doing small promotions and now he's on EliteXC's CBS card. Not bad...
The only drawback for him is that he started his MMA career late and he's in his late thirties...

There's a boxer named Wenky Wright but I'm not sure if there's a boxer named Binky.
Binky Jones was a high school and collegiate wrestler (that should pique Eers' interest) and has been studying BJJ for a few years now. He has been very efficient with his victories this year. Great guy too...

Binky Jones is a 5'11" 155
Binky Jones is a 5'11" 155 pound former Collegiate wrestler with a background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Binky studies Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the Ground Control Baltimore Academy. On Monday nights Binky teaches a Takedown class at the Ground Control Baltimore Academy.
On December 4th 2005 Binky Jones was awarded his Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from Renzo Gracie. Binky was also award Ground Control Fight of the Year.
In November of 2006, Binky began his quest to become the Ring of Combat Lightweight tournament champion. After two impressive wins, Binky was ready for the tournament finals In April 2007.
