As a Mets fan today isn't getting much better, I was hoping some exciting MMA news would turn my day around, instead I have to wait some more for the news and deal with my team being a complete disgrace... yuck

Yes, only because it's another delay in the announcement. It was originally supposed to be last Thursday. It has to make you wonder if whatever White was confident about hasn't happened yet, whether a deal or otherwise...

I've been following Pramit's work for awhile now. I enjoyed reading his analysis on events through the Baltimore Sun and his pieces for espn.com. I find his work almost always spot on. This website is very informative and the comments by the community are a laugh.

based on dana's interview that started all this, it didn't even sound like something that he originally intended to tell the media, it sounded like something he wanted to tell all the employees, more than the media/general public

It's looking more and more like this is the legalization of MMA in New York. And I do know Dana said this had nothing to do with his announcement, but I don't believe it. While it did get shot down originally, apparantly a few committee members asked to change their votes, which led to the bill being placed on the agenda early this week. To me, Dana was hoping for Tuesday, but it has not come up yet. Maybe Wednesday?

That's what I was thinking too, phoenix. Bringing MMA back to the world's most famous arena...it's a pretty big deal. If/when the bill passes, I expect to hear something quickly about the UFC and MSG.

A source close to the UFC has informed me that the major announcement is two things.

First-that the UFC has signed a t.v. deal with all four major network television stations(Fox, ABC, CBS, and NBC).

Second- The UFC has 4 new blue chip sponsors, that will be mentioned when the announcement is said.

BMI, Which is owned by Sony will be having a press confrence tomorrow announcing that they are purchasing 50% of the UFC.

This does NOT MEAN that BMI is buying any part of Zuffa.

They are only buying into partnership of the UFC.

A reliable source has given Chabasco this information. Not sure what time the confrence is being held.

Guess we'll all have to wait and see if you heard it hear first with UFN!!!
