Kimbo Slice Training at Gracie Barra
By Steve Ficca, FightTicker.com Blogger
Famous YouTube street fighter turned MMA athlete Kimbo Slice is known for his slugging. Heavy handed punches designed to take people's heads off are, and always have been, Kimbo's game. Grappling, on the other hand, has been somewhat of a question mark.
Maybe all that is changing now.

Kimbo's Trainer Says He's Ready for One More Shot

Barely a month ago, MMA trainer Randy Khatami began preparing Kimbo Slice for The Ultimate Fighter Spike TV reality show. Khatami was one of the main instructors working on Kimbo's game back in his days with Bas Rutten. Six months had passed, however, since Kimbo and Khatami had gotten in the gym and worked together. Randy says that the current focus has been 100% on sparring and Kimbo is ready for the 15 other heavyweights in The Ultimate Fighter house.

Thoughts on Kimbo Slice Competing on TUF 10
By Mark Figula, FightTicker.com blogger
In my life, I have noticed that we humans have this funny way of placing great importance on numbers. Many hotels won’t label a floor with the number thirteen, many “seers” claim world ending events as if the earth cares what its virus (yes I’m calling us a virus) labels its current trip around the sun and many married men have spent obscene amounts of money on anniversaries divisible by ten. UFC 100 is coming up soon and so is another UFC landmark divisible by that same ten: TUF 10.
Not wanting to miss out on the opportunity to make TUF 10 worthy of humanistic significance, this iteration of my favorite show on TV will feature none other than one Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson. This according to a recent report on Yahoo Sports.
Just Because: Coolest Fighter? Scariest Fighter?
By Mark Figula, FightTicker.com blogger
The big event is over, the title has changed hands yet again and the grudge has been almost-sorta-kinda put to rest. What is one to do with a brief lull in the action and nothing immediately skiing down your neural pathways, screaming for attention or words on a digital page?
Kimbo Slice Done with MMA?
By Steve Ficca, FightTicker.com Blogger
Ever since Seth Petruzelli's 14 second knockout of Kimbo Slice last October, Kimbo's MMA career seems to have come to a hault. Bas Rutten resigned as his trainer, rumors have Slice switching to boxing, and nobdy seems to know his actual status as a fighter. Recently Elite XC President Gary Shaw told MMA Fanhouse that Slice has no contractual obligation to Strikeforce (which bought out 42 Elite XC fighter's contracts earlier this year.)

Behold the Team Kimbo Boxing Machine
By Pramit Mohapatra
Kimbo Slice's rather unimpressive MMA career, which was derailed by his loss to Seth Petruzelli last October in EliteXC's final event, has not stopped him from continuing to be a force in business and entertainment. Now, a company called Primetime Amusements has teamed up with Slice (nee Kevin Ferguson) to bring us the Team Kimbo Boxing Machine Arcade game.

Better Late...
That's right folks. Junie Browning is going to fight a flaming streetfighter while he stands in a pool of pirrhanas! Dec. 27 spoiler alert -- to start off UFC 92, Kimbo Slice will be set ablaze in a special fireproof suit (of course) lowered from the ceiling to a waiting and warmed up Junie, ready to fight. Odds favor Junie in intellect we think; every time we told him to pick a circle from assorted shapes he'd just do another shot of Kentucky's finest moonshine. We had to call testing for the day because he passed out. The edge in strength definitely goes to Kimbo. Dana White, this century's PT Barnum, absolutely loved the idea and jumped rght on it! I called him on the Bat Phone don'tcha know.
Me too! Every time I get online to watch fights, I get sucked in by a catchy headline. When I saw the headline sometime back that BJ Penn had thrown a reporter around I couldn't wait to get in there to see what happened. I'll tell you what happend -- a local girl from TV news came out and learned the ropes so to speak. It was soooo cute... egad man!! Damnation!!!
My second eldest son called today to wish me happy birthday -- my forty-third -- and we were talking about his two boys, who were just amped for Santa to come. I can remember when I was their age -- it was fantastic. I got Stretch Armstrong and my own record player with Cat Steven's Izitso to play it on. It was red with a black console and you closed it up and carried it like a mini-suitcase. It had a spindle with four or five yellow discs so you could load it up with forty-fives.
